Industry News

Driven by global carbon neutrality goals, the construction industry is undergoing a profound green transformation. Traditional timber formwork consumes forest resources and is difficult to biodegrade; steel formwork has high production energy consumption and severe rust waste. Aluminum formwork, with its reusability, high recyclability, and low carbon emissions, has become the preferred formwork system for green buildings.

2. Three Environmental Paths of Aluminum Formwork

Path 1: Extend service life, reduce material consumption

One Archipower aluminum formwork set lasts 250+ uses, 20–25 years. Producing 1 ton of aluminum formwork replaces 10–20 tons of timber formwork. If 30% of China’s 100 million m² annual formwork use were aluminum, it would save 3 million tons of wood annually – equivalent to protecting 50,000 hectares of forest.

Path 2: High recyclability – closed-loop circularity

After its service life, Archipower’s full-industry-chain system offers two recovery paths:

· Refurbishment: ~70% of old panels are cleaned, straightened, and fitted with new accessories for direct reuse.

· Melting & recasting: The remaining 30% scrap is melted (95% recovery rate) into aluminum billets for new extrusions.

Path 3: Zero waste, low emissions during construction

· No on-site cutting –zero sawdust, zero dust.

· Plaster-free process reduces cement mortar use – saving ~150 tons of cement (each ton emits ~0.6 t CO₂) per 10,000 m².

· Lightweight reduces transport emissions – Archipower panels are 60% lighter than steel, cutting transport CO₂ by >40%.

3. Archipower’s Green Closed-Loop Practice

Archipower not only produces aluminum formwork but has established a completegreen circular system:

1.Old panel buyback: Repurchase used panels from clients.

2.Sorting: Refurbishable units go to refurbishment line; non-refurbishable go to melting.

3.Material replacement: Clients can exchange old panels for new ones at weight difference cost.
