Not every part of a building is suitable for full aluminum formwork. For non-standard floors, special nodes, sunken slabs, and corner openings,hybrid useof aluminum with timber or steel is often more economical and flexible. 1. Aluminum-Timber Hybrid

Application scenarios:

· Non-standard floors with changing layouts (ground floor, top floor, mechanical floors)

· Local irregular openings, reserve chases

· Height differences in sunken areas

· Overseas projects with abundant local carpentry resources and aluminum used supplementally

Method:Usealuminum angle connectors– one side pinned to aluminum panels, the other side screwed to plywood. Sealing strips prevent slurry leakage.

Advantages:

· Use timber‘s on-site cutting flexibility to compensate for aluminum’s inability to resize on-site

· Avoid expensive custom non-standard aluminum panels

· Quality assured: aluminum sections maintain plaster-free accuracy; timber sections are locally treated later

Archipower recommendation: Aluminum should account for >70% of the hybrid system; otherwise economics diminish.

2. Steel-Aluminum Hybrid

Application scenarios:

· Transfer slabs, long-span heavy-load areas (industrial plants, parking garages)

· Load-bearing frames in climbing formwork for super high-rise cores

· Special equipment foundations

Method:Steel beams/backing bars as primary load-bearing members; aluminum panels as concrete contact surface for smooth finish. Connected by bolts or special clamps.

Advantages:

· High steel load capacity for long spans, heavy loads

· Light aluminum panels for manual handling and assembly

· ~40% lighter than all-steel formwork – reduced crane occupancy
